Business Description

Kim Neal is originally from Belize, a small country in Central America. Kim came to the US as a young person and vowed to bring national attention to her small country in a positive way. With her husband, Aaron Bowen, they opened Bow’s Taste of Belize in Houston, TX.

Bow’s Taste of Belize is a restaurant serving only authentic Belizean cuisine. The restaurant features artwork done by Belizeans living in Belize, showcasing the various ethnic groups that call Belize home. Mementos of the Mayan and Garifuna civilization are on display. Every Prime Minister and  Governor General are prominently hanging on the entrance wall. Bow’s is also a link for the indigenous groups in Belize, where they are able to connect with others in the US and sell their products to support their community.

Bow’s Taste of Belize understands that there is no success as meaningful as one who touches the hearts of others and inspires them to make a difference in their lives. Success to Bow’s, is not in the things they achieve, but in the service they are able to give to others.  As such, Bow’s strives to be an avenue where Belizeans are able to make that leap of faith and realize their lifelong dream.

When in Houston, TX stop by and ask for Aaron or Kim Bowen. You will be treated to an excellent and delectable Belizean dish, and a lesson in the history and culture of this delightful Central American and Caribbean country.
