Business Description
Avant-garde Books is the first mother/daughter-owned bookstore in the world. We are located in the Mall West End in historic SW Atlanta. We offer weekly, live story time for toddlers; book signings/talks for authors; and enrichment activities for community members of all ages. We not only sell books, but our inventory also includes tee-shirts, educational games, stationery, and puzzles.
In addition to our online bookstore, we do book fairs and book parties for a myriad of occasions.
Our mission is to strengthen and support literacy development around the world, especially for children who reside in socio-economically disadvantaged communities.
Our vision is to build a community of lifelong readers who constructively use knowledge to empower themselves and others.
