Black Roots is a wellness company dedicated to holistic care. Founded by Jo Sesay, her vision of wellness has been built on her upbringing, heritage, and education. Being an herbalist, she saw the need to assess the entire person and not just a symptom presented. Backing that expertise with her graduate degree in psychology and addiction counseling she desired to assist people holistically even more.
The core of our belief is in the approach to being whole that our ancestors brought with them and taught. You can’t take care of one part of you and neglect the other. Whether it be from a product or merch everything is designed to make you feel empowered and better. At Black Roots it’s about curating items with people in mind. It’s our job to help you become rooted truly!
