Business Description

Flora Apparel wants to provide comfortable and versatile clothing items for women. We have ideas ranging from swim wear to business casual. Flora Apparel is inspired by us, a group of four moms, from different backgrounds, and we all have different sized clothing. No matter which woman you ask I guarantee you there is one thing we all have in common. We wish rompers and one-piece bathing suits could be undone without “getting naked”. That is our main focus, to create a brand that is not only comfortable and versatile in wearing, but it also makes you feel empowered and beautiful. We all have different styles do there is room for versatility when it comes to creating designs.

When it comes to style, we all may have things in common, but everyone definitely stands out in their own way. When I personally shop for clothes, I look for items that are flowy because I am bottom heavy. The kicker though is that I my waist is only a 6 but when I buy certain things, I have to go two sizes up because of my waist and my hips, which is frustrating, especially when I get swim wear because my bottom is a medium or large and top is a small. Our slogan is “Free the V!”, I think it fits perfectly for the apparel we are trying to create. As far as us as owners we I am an African American female with a biracial child. With my partners, one is a military vet, the other is married to a woman, and they have two children. We can’t forget the most important, we’re a woman owned business. We started this idea last year in 2021 and just have been stuck in our personal lives and put the business on the back burner. Now we are mentally prepared to start a business and can’t wait to launch it and show the world what we’ve got!
