The first woman-owned Tibetan frozen food brand in the US, Himalayan Dumplings by Kyikyi started simply with a Tibetan immigrant’s desire to introduce her American born daughters to their Tibetan heritage through her love language of food. This initiative grew beyond her home when she realized the absence of cultural representation of Tibet & the Himalayas at the local night markets.
6 years later of sold out crowds at her seasonal pop ups in Oregon, Kyikyi decided; inspite of being told that entering a niche frozen food industry is too big of a goal for someone of her stature; to launch her signature pop up dishes in convenient ready-t0-cook vegan-friendly and meat frozen Himalayan dumplings & Tibetan handpies leading her to launch the first of its kind woman-owned CPG food brand in the US.
