At Imani Tutoring, we use the Science of Reading research because teaching reading is rocket science, the brain is not wired to know how to read automatically. We use structured literacy instruction in a fun and engaging way to help struggling readers become confident, proficient readers.
For over 19 years, Monica Stephenson, the owner of Imani Tutoring, has been a successful teacher and tutor that helps all of her students achieve reading success. Her passion and innovative teaching techniques encourage her young learners to enjoy reading. She also has experience supporting students with autism, dyslexia, and many other disorders that may affect learning.
