Kandyland Cosmetics is a candy land theme cosmetic line based out of Washington, DC dedicated to bringing you affordable, cruelty free, products that are beginner friendly. Themed after the CEO’s favorite childhood game Kandyland Cosmetics is a home based company, selling top tier cosmetic products and providing grooming services for both men and women.
Kandyland Cosmetics was founded by Shakayla aka “Kay” Born, and raised in Washington, D.C. She is a single mom of 1 child ( a daughter) She created the line for many reasons , her daughter, financial independence, and to gain back her self confidence. In 2017, the idea of starting a makeup line crossed her mind, but fear was holding her back from making the big step, so in the year of 2019, she decided that she was going to launch her own line, and start the journey to financial independence and so she made that dream a reality. She hopes that this brand gives people of all genders, race, size, and age the confidence they are searching for.
