Business Description
Lago Vista Estate Venue and B&B is a start up venue located in Farmington, NM, overlooking Farmington Lake. Lago Vista will be both an event venue and B&B.
The event space will hold appx. 200 guests, offering space for both large and small events. The venue overlooks Lake Farmington as well as the La Plata mountains to the east. Some interesting points of focus will be the outdoor waterfalls, fire pits and interior water wall. The space will also have technology to host business conferences/retreats. The B&B will consist of 5 suites, one handicapped accessible and one master suite, all with on suite baths. The B&B will offer an arrival guest basket, an authentic New Mexico breakfast brimming with green chili and a sunset cocktail hour overlooking the lake.
Lago Vista will host an annual fundraiser for a local non profit within the community. We would like the competing charities to submit a video entry that we will share on our website communicating the organizations mission and needs. We would like to produce a Lago Vista wine and salsa as an expansion line.
The purpose of this plan is to obtain 3,100,000 in funding to build the venue, bring utilities to the parcel, build the main road to the venue, and venue event expenses (tables, chairs, sound system, flatware). I was willed this property by my father, Michael Jakino, who was killed by a distracted driver. It is my mission to create something beautiful in his memory, help others, and provide something significant for my community.
