“Like No Other Vegan”

Business Description

My greatest motivation is seeing a healthy and whole community. We are in the food industry, but our concentration is health and wellness. “Like No Other Vegan” is a female Black-owned and operated Limited Liability Company. The business operates out of a food truck that serves plant-based food. “Like No Other Vegan” was birthed out of seeing the health disparities in the community and the increase death rate from having an unhealthy lifestyle due to food insecurity.

What makes our business unique? There is no other food truck in Jefferson County (Birmingham, Alabama) that is educating their customers about the food that they are consuming to stay healthy. Our goal is to become an incomparable business that not only inspires healthy eating but encourages it as well. We will provide food in regions (food desert areas) through a “community refrigerator” where people will have access to healthy and excellent quality of fresh live food. We will provide a health app (“The Game Changer”) to connect the community to health information that will educate, engage, and empower African American to make informed health decisions, because heart disease is the number one killer in the African American population, especially Black women. When I was diagnosed with heart disease, decreasing heart disease became my mission in life because I was doing all the right things to stay healthy.
