OLA FILTER

We are a sustainability focused, women owned water filtration startup that is using our experience in engineering and economic development to help build global access to clean drinking water and reduce the harmful effects of single use plastics on the environment.  We are based in the US and in Guatemala and are looking for connections with people who share our mission and can help us to get our filters out to the world.

We launched our first product this summer, a point of use water filter designed for the millions of people in developing countries who have access to tapped water, but can’t safely drink it. It blocks bacteria, protozoa, and cysts to protect against waterborne diseases so people can drink their tap water instead of spending their hard earned money on plastic bottles and bags of water which pollute the environment. We have also just begun development of a second, more comprehensive product that will remove a wider array of contamination including lead, arsenic, and viruses. That will allow us to expand our focus to support communities who have concerns beyond biological contaminants, both up and down market.
