Business Description

Opal’s Heart, Inc.’s Mission Statement is to provide dignity to the unhoused one Care Bag at a time. We assemble and distribute Care Bags for the unhoused communities in Prince George’s County, MD. The Care Bags consists of hygiene items such as soap, deodorant, body wipes, wash cloths, toothpaste, toothbrush, and hand sanitizer. As well as socks, bottled water and non-perishable snacks. We offer different Care Bags and they’re the hygiene care bags, snack care bags, feminine hygiene care bags, and winter care bags. We recently have started  a new program titled Care Meals where we supply a meal to the guests at an outreach event that we partner with once a month.

Opal’s Heart, Inc. was created to fulfill the desire to help others. We have compassion for those that are unhoused and would like to help in one of the most forgotten ways. To give them hygiene items that they may need but have no way of getting. Quite a few unhoused have to chose between housing, food and toiletries. And if we can take the latter off their list of things to need, then that’s what we’ll do.
