Kimberly Shead, HLP, is the creator and founder of Phat Headz Essentials Pro Hair

Care & Phat Face Cosmetics. She has been in the beauty industry for over 20 years

and a business owner for 13 years. She is the owner of Phat’s Extension Bar and

Phat’s Institute Of Beauty Tyler, Texas. I must say it is my excited pleasure to speak

of such an innovator!

Kimberly prides herself on being one of the best stylists in the area, going above

and beyond her customers’ expectations and making sure that every hair strand is

in place with hair products that are going to change the game!

After years in the hair industry as a stylist, makeup artist and educator, Kimberly

decided to continue her education on human hair. In 2020 she was awarded a

Scholarship from USTI to further her education in trichology, and became an Hair

Loss Practitioner (HLP). As a HLP, hair loss is her main focus. She loves going above

and beyond helping clients regain their confidence. In listening to her story one would not know that she works to be a SUPER mom to

2 beautiful girls & proud wife. She balances all of the above with her Faith!

Kimberly’s heart for her community shows as she uses her platforms to provide

philanthropic services for others. She is a giver & innovator who has worked hard

to establish herself as a force within the beauty industry.

Kimberly’s goals are to obtain a Doctoral Degree in Cosmetology & Open a Hair

Restoration Clinic/Medical Spa. She plans to continue to grow her business into a

franchise and open schools & salons in different cities and states.
