Sideways Sunlight Ministries is a Athens, Georgia local non-profit 501 c 3 organization that exists to serve the children and youth of the Rocksprings Community. We consider ourselves a Youth Empowerment Program, meaning our intention is to empower the young people of this community to live a life full of freedom, peace, and love. We believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the most empowering relationship a person can have. Each week we have a church gathering where we eat, play, and learn together. Also, We have a mentorship program where our kids are paired with Jesus loving adults who will hang-out with them, encourage them, and point them towards Jesus!
Our Mission statement is: Sideways Sunlight Ministries exists to empower young people through the love and good news of Jesus by ministering through relationships to their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. We equip them to realize the life-giving light they carry through support, trust, acceptance, and respect.
