SpiceTopia is a joyful stop for both locals and visitors to Ventura.  Many follow their noses into SpiceTopia and find not only aromatic spices and teas, but also a place to talk about their next meal and the inspiration to cook something new.

These conversations may be about bringing a new flavor to a familiar dish.  Or you may join in a  discussion about our extensive tea collection and varied local products.  Recipes are traded, and our staff is always happy to share their expertise.

Many of our spice blends are hand-blended in the shop. Some, like our Herbes de Provence, are our version of well known blends. Others, such as our Ventura Spices, are signature recipes found only at SpiceTopia. We are also happy to custom blend your recipe or to match a favorite blend.
Our tea wall has an option for just about everyone.  We love to help you pick out a tea with the perfect flavor and level of caffeine. Green, Black, Oolong, Mate, Matcha, Herbal, and Rooibos are all well represented. If you’re new to loose leaf teas, we’re at the ready with brewing tips.

Aiming to make eating good food easy for everyone, we offer several subscription boxes. Our SpiceScription is filled with recipes, spices, and helpful cooking instructions.  Our Tea of the Month Club subscription allows you to treat yourself or a loved one to an exclusive tea each month along with our tried and true favorites.  We also offer varied tastings and cooking classes for anyone looking to build their skills in the kitchen or for a new experience or even just a fun outing with friends or colleagues. Due to Covid19, our tastings and cooking classes are currently virtual.

Local producers are well represented within the walls of SpiceTopia.  Honey, sauce, olives, chocolates, jams, soaps, pottery, artwork are waiting for a place in your home or as that special gift you’ve been searching for your loved ones.

We aim to be good stewards of our earth by supporting and caring for those who produce our food–whether they live in our community or around the globe. With this in mind, we are careful about where we source our spices and teas. When possible we choose organic and fairtrade products and source directly from farmers and producers.
