Business Description
We specialize in local delivery for larger companies such as Amazon, US Postal Service and Wayfair. We are looking to expand so we can create more jobs and give our young adults a fighting chance. As a woman of color in trucking I have been faced with many adversities but I have to keep pushing because it’s bigger than me. I started out as a statistic single mother raising 5 children depending on the government for help. I fought to give my children better life. I changed the narrative and did not become a product of my environment. I started a business purchased 2 homes and four out of my five children have a businesses of their own. I have put my blood sweat and tears into building this business only to have Covid come and now hurricanes to set me all the way back. I have sought help from many agencies only to be told no or it will be a process etc. I feel that my company would be a great fit for this grant because i know in my heart that my business can make a huge difference if funded so I can get more equipment and working capital.
