Money is the only motivating factor in our relationship with the sales agent. Hire sales reps with a history of strong revenue performance is more important to us than their technical expertise.
We are self-employed and do not answer to anybody except ourselves, albeit you may have some sway over our sales representative. Our sales representative is an integral part of our team. We gain from the privileges and advantages of working for this organization. Our representative has no stake in the firm beyond the requirement to get paid. Having a salesperson door to door sales reps on staff with relevant industry experience is a desirable trait for many of our clients. This does not guarantee the sales representative will perform well, but it may shorten the time needed for training and ramp-up.
