Triangle Esports Academy is an education and youth development video game center. We take something that young people love, “video games,” and turn it into a productive experience. We offer year-round STEM Camps, Afterschool Technology Programs, Esports (Video Gaming) Teams, and Popup Programs.

When a young person comes to our gaming center they are able to socialize with other young people who share their interests, we take breaks every 45 minutes, we encourage the young person to bring a water bottle and stay hydrated, we teach them proper stretching techniques to prevent long term injuries such as carpal tunnel, we take the group outside for fresh air and exercise, we teach a character/life skill trait at the beginning of every session and review it again at the end of the session.

 

Our STEM Camps are designed to blend scientific inquiry and technological design processes through project-based learning which focuses on developing ideas that involve critical thinking, problem solving, logical reasoning, communication, self-directing, and most importantly having students explore their creativity skills. We strive to have the camp give students an opportunity to explore an idea in different contexts and connect their learning across disciplines.

 

We live in a world where the future (near future) is robots, AI, drones, VR, simulators, blockchain, esports, etc. Our Afterschool Technology Programs are designed to provide exposure to young people and offer them the ability to follow their passion towards careers in technology.

 

Not all young people will play a traditional sport. We understand the importance of extracurricular activities and how being on a team teaches communication, sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, and strategy. Our Esports (video gaming) Teams are designed to provide these necessary life skills that employers are looking for. Our coaches have a fantastic technique to remove pre-existing rage and toxicity issues that are common in most sports.

 

Many municipalities and youth organizations have told us they love what we’re doing, but they have a challenge getting young people to our gaming center. To solve this issue, we’ve invested in more PCs and laptops and started our Popup Programs where we take our program offerings and run them at various community centers.
