Business Description
Tribal Electric LLC is Washington State’s ONLY queer women of color owned and operated union electrical contractor. Owned by Joanne Alcantara who is Chinese/Filipino and ran by Boo Torres who is Native Chamorro from Guahan.
Joanne and Boo started Tribal Electric to be a resource for their community and to serve as a conduit for getting more queers, POCs and women into the trade. 100% of their business has been word of mouth and a portion of Tribal Electric’s profits regularly go to organizations for community wellness, assistance for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking and other social justice organizations.
Tribal Electric is based out of South Seattle and can do residential as well as small commercial projects.
